Trail/Park Information: 

This trail is one of the many favorites in Rocky Mountain National Park.  Arrive early to secure a parking spot near the trail head. Otherwise, you'll add a few extra steps from the overflow parking lots before the trail head. 
The 5.4 mile roundtrip hike takes you past rocky terrain, wild flowers, and various wildlife. Be prepared, this trail starts at 8500 ft and has an elevation gain of 870 feet. Bring plenty of water and trail mix! 

Getting there: 

From Denver: 
From US6-W6th Avenue, continue straight on to CO-93 N approximately 8.1 miles; continue on CO-93 through downtown Boulder; in Lyons, turn left on to US-36 W; then take a slight left on to CO-7 W for 21 miles; turn left at the Wild Basin sign on to County Rd 84; then slight right to Co Hwy 115 2.2 miles. This will take you to the ranger station. 
*a valid  National parks pass is required for entry or a daily park pass can be purchased at the entrance gate .Check at the park entrance for exact hours of operation.
